How to care for Hadasity PhosWear

Caring for your Hadasity PhosWear

One of the biggest concerns I've heard from you all is the fear of staining your white clothing and here are some of the ways I keep my white wardrobe stain free.

How to keep white clothes stain-free

1. Remove the lids from takeaway drinks and wipe all sides before drinking as they are leaks waiting to happen.

2. Remove and open covers and packets of food, snacks, sauces, juices at a distance from you and make sure there are no leaks before consuming.

3. 'Face over the bowl' (this is what I always tell my kids over meals and myself too) so drips and drops go into the bowl and not onto your clothing.

Washing PhosWear: How To Remove Stains

To remove stains from or keep white clothes white, you can:

1. Wash whites separately
Always wash white clothes separately from colored items to prevent dye transfer in the same wash cycle.

 2. Treat stains immediately
Use a quality detergent designed for whites and spot-treat stains with a pre-treatment solution before washing.

3. Use a whitening  laundry booster
Consider adding whitening boosters like oxygen bleach, borax, or baking soda with laundry detergent. These are good ways to maintain the bright white appearance of clothing. (Pro tip: Opt for oxygen bleach over chlorine bleach as it is gentler on fabrics).

Try natural alternatives: To remove discolouration and keep your whites gleaming, add one cup of lemon juice or distilled vinegar to the wash cycle. While both have natural bleaching elements, lemon also helps your clothes smell fresh.

4. Remove perspiration stains
To rid perspiration and deodorant stains, pre-treat with liquid detergent, dishwashing liquid or clear shampoo. Simply apply directly onto the stain and scrub with an old toothbrush. Rinse with clear water after, and wash the fabric as usual in the washing machine.
